Turtle Bay Exeter

KOMPAS Exeter Instagram blog (12 February 2017)

Baby, it’s cold outside (we’re not even kidding: snow? In the South West?!) …so it’s a good thing we’ve got Turtle Bay around for a cracking dose of heat. One of those shiny new chains that sprung up when Exeter’s Queen Street Dining project opened its gates, Turtle Bay has fast become a hub for those wanting tasty Caribbean food and Happy Hour cocktails in the city centre. You’ll regularly find it packed out on Friday or Saturday nights – and for good reason. Book a table and fill your boots with classics from across the pond: we’re talking Jerk chicken, pulled pork, curried goat and Caribbean dumplings galore. That vegan “Run Down” stew is pretty magnificent too. Or squeeze your way up to the cocktail bar for a signature Reggae Rum Punch, Koko Colada or Bahama Mama, before going all-out with a Beachcomber’s Zombie (four rums, absinthe, bitters and tropical juice. We know: we haven’t dared yet either.) Warmed up yet? We certainly have. #TurtleBay #Caribbean #CaribbeanFood #Stew #Exeter #QueenStreetDining #JerkChicken #Cocktails #HappyHour #IgersExeter #EatingOut #Dins #CaribbeanVibes #TurtleBae #SpicyFood #CaribbeanDumplings
