Coffee Aroma

KOMPAS Lincoln Instagram blog (26 November 2016)

When someone describes themselves as “stylish and cool,” it’s usually a bit of a turn-off, right? We thought so too… until we settled down in this self-proclaimed “stylish and cool café” on Lincoln’s Guildhall Street. Once you’ve spied this tiny independent watering hole and picked your coffee roast from the staggering list behind the counter, it’s all fun and games here. No, literally: the tables upstairs are chessboards. One of them even invites you to “grab my bits at the bar.” This quirky little café packs a lot in: outdoor seating for hipster-types to sip coffee and practise their Tumblr poses, poky staircases and cosy sofas for rainy afternoons, acoustic nights, events and apparently the best red velvet cake in Lincoln. Oh, it’s also one of The Guardian’s “ten best coffee shops in the UK.” And when day turns to evening and the cocktail lists come out… well. We’re smitten. Modest? Nah. But hey: when you’ve got it, flaunt it. #CoffeeAroma #Cafe #Café #CoffeeShop #Lincoln #GuildhallStreet #Chessboard #Hipster #HipsterLife #Coffee #Espresso #CoffeeBar #VisitLincoln #CoffeeBreak #CoffeeTime #CaféLovers #CoffeeLover #CoffeeLovers
