Wildwood Lincoln

KOMPAS Lincoln Instagram blog (25 October 2016)

One of the newest additions to the city’s restaurant scene, Wildwood’s August opening was likely met with groans of “not ANOTHER Italian chain…” And true: this is *technically* another Italian chain – it’s already around in some 50 locations across the UK. But a quick menu browse proves there’s more to this trendy eatery than worn-out classics. Take risotto, for example. We all know risotto. But smoked haddock and cheddar risotto with peas, poached egg, spinach and lemon juice? And pasta. You’d feel boring ordering pasta, right? Well, how about Peri Peri chicken penne? Nah, scratch that: there’s Hoi Sin duck pizza! Wildwood specializes in Italian classics with an international twist – all served up in achingly stylish surroundings. The restaurant’s spacious warehouse interior gives off some definite hipster vibes – but with warm browns and greens, the ambience isn’t far from the “relaxed, homely environment” advertised on the website. However, with the in-house cinema still on our “to review” list, this new kid on the block isn’t out of the woods yet… #Wildwood #WildwoodLincoln #Lincoln #Kompas #Italian #ItalianRestaurant #Pasta #ItalianFood #Bread #Wine #StickyToffeePudding #ItalianFoodPorn #LincolnFood #LincolnFoodie #VisitLincolnshire #RestaurantReview #WhereToEat #Instafoodie
