Rising Cafe from the Rubble

Great food with an even better message. With so much excellent stuff being said about this 1940s-style eatery in Lincoln’s Alive! Church, we decided we’d really better go see whether Rising Café merits all this hype. And? Well, *spoiler alert* it definitely does. One of two (the other’s in Coventry Cathedral), this cosy café blends vintage décor with scrumptious food – and if the vegan cookies don’t make you dizzy with joy, the prices definitely will. We’re talking £2 hotdogs and £3 filled jackets on the “Well-Fair” menu. Of course, you can still go all-out on a triple-decker “Rising From the Rubble” sandwich for a fiver… or even afternoon tea for two! The best part? 100% of proceeds go to Betel UK, helping to restore lives shattered by drug and alcohol addiction. In fact, the whole café is run by men and women who’ve previously fallen victim to addiction and homelessness, and are now on the road to recovery. A good cup of tea might not be the answer to all of life’s problems… but here at Rising Café, it’s a start. #RisingCafe #RisingCafeLincoln #BetelUK #AliveChurch #Lincoln #VisitLincoln #Cafe #Homelessness #AddictionRecovery #AddictionAwareness #CharityCafe #LincolnCafe #AddictionHelp #SubstanceAddiction #GoodCause #Charity #CoffeeAndCake #CoffeeLover #VeganCookie #1940s #VintageCafe #VintageDecor #1940sDecor #Lunch #LunchDate #TeaAndCake #AfternoonTea #CafeCulture #Kompas
