The Ice Cream Parlour

KOMPAS Lincoln Instagram feed (22 July 2016)

Sometimes, only ice cream will do. And if you’ve sweated it to the top of Steep Hill on a piping hot summer’s day, The Ice Cream Parlour in the Bailgate is a welcome sight. Run by Claire Dennett, of Dennetts award-winning ice creams, this 14th-Century building just round the corner from the Cathedral is home to a mouthwatering range of dairy ice creams, frozen yoghurts and sorbets. From classics like honeycomb, strawberry and rum & raisin to more quirky concoctions (Turkish delight, we’re your new biggest fan), there’s a frozen treat for every palate – which probably explains the queues at the door each time the British summer makes an appearance! And if the sun’s not shining, there’s room to tuck yourself away in the cellar tea rooms with a hot drink and some home-made goodies. Open 11am til sunset throughout summer, this petite parlour claims to offer “the ultimate ice cream experience.” Well, there’s only one way to put that to the test… #IceCream #IceCreamParlour #Lincoln #KompasLincoln #Bailgate #BailgateLincoln #Dennetts #DennettsIceCream #TraditionalIceCream #VisitLincoln #OldFashionedIceCream #Summer #SummerInLincoln #IceCreamLovers #IceCreamDate #Treat #SweetTreat #TurkishDelightIceCream #IceCreamCone #TheIceCreamParlour
