The Angel Coffee House

KOMPAS Lincoln Instagram feed (8 July 2016)

Duck through the rustic entrance of the old St Swithin’s Vestry and you’ll find yourself welcomed by cosy seating, smiling staff and a counter chock-full of mouthwatering home-made sandwiches, wraps, paninis and cakes. Locally-sourced and seasonal where possible, the Angel boasts an extensive veggie and vegan selection, while meat options are varied and exciting – and at around £4.25-50, pretty great value. But no-one wants to leave a café with TOO much change, right? Good job the cakes cabinet looks like something from the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. And if the oreo cheesecakes, tiffins, blondies, loaves and chocolate tarts aren’t for you, we wholeheartedly recommend the Peanut Butter Stack. Sticky, substantial and wickedly rich, this is a treat to share with one of your favourite people. (But if that’s yourself, we absolutely won’t judge.) Top tip: for keen cyclists, The Angel is the place to be. Coinciding with each year’s Tour de France, the coffee house takes pride in its annual photographic exhibition by Phil Crow (@philly66) celebrating the Lincoln Grand Prix and amateur sportive. #CoffeeTime #Cafe #Lincoln #Kompas #CafeCulture #CoffeeAndCake #Sandwich #Sandwiches #Panini #VeggieFood #Veggie #Vegan #VeganFood #VeggieFoodPorn #VegansofIG #PeanutButterStack #PeanutButterCake #Blondie #Lunch #LunchDate #PhilCrow #LincolnGrandPrix #LincolnSportive #CyclingCafe #Cake #CakePorn #CafeLover
