Maria Bonita

Hidden Berlin Facebook and Instagram feeds (13 March 2016)

We’ve been hearing these strange whispers recently. They go something like: “EAT MORE TACOS.” Odd, right? But if Berlin wants us to get tacos, we’re not arguing. So off we popped to this cute Mexican joint in Prenzlauer Berg for some fried tortilla-based fun. Widely heralded the best authentic Mexican food in Berlin, Maria Bonita’s cosy, colourful and crazy small. For €5.50-€9, tuck into anything from spicy sweet potato tacos and grilled beef quesadillas to an eggs, bacon and beans burrito (a Mexican breakfast classic, apparently). Presentation’s nothing fancy, but don’t get downhearted when the waitress haphazardly scoops nachos into a bowl with a dollop of guacamole and salsa. It’s all in the taste – and that guac’s creamy and deliciously rich. The same goes for the mains: whether it’s quesadillas, burritos or tacos you’ve enjoying while people-watching on bustling Danziger Straße, expect no-nonsense dishes bursting with flavour. The meals aren’t massive, granted – but hey. Just means there’s more room for Maria Bonita’s trademark Margaritas! #MariaBonita #PrenzlauerBerg #HiddenBerlin #DanzigerStrasse #Mexican #MexicanFood #Tacos #Burrito #Burritos #Quesadilla #Nachos #Guacamole #Salsa #RealMexicanFood #Spicy #MexicanBreakfast #Margarita #Margaritas #FoodPorn #Veggie #VeggieFood #VeggieFoodPorn #VeggieTacos #EatMoreTacos
